A Little About Michael…
Michael joined Hill Vascular and Vein Center in June of 2021 as a PreMed Medical Assistant. He was born in Sun Valley, Idaho, a secluded ski resort town in the wilderness, in the heart of the state. In the summers, he loves to spend time at his family’s cabin hiking and boating with his friends. Since he was able to walk, he has been skiing and playing soccer competitively and enjoyed playing all other kinds of sports with his friends. In high school, he was a 3-time letterman and all-conference goalkeeper for the Wood River Wolverines. In college, he transitioned to playing rugby where he played for the Claremont Lions for one year until their national title defense was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Academically, Michael has always been a math and sciences person. From a young age, he loved to be outside and explore nature, where his fascination for science first began. As he got older, he discovered the television show House MD from which his dreams of becoming a doctor arose. He graduated Wood River High School as the class Salutatorian and was accepted into Claremont McKenna College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology in May 2021. In addition to his academic studies, Michael was the Chair of Internal Events for the Claremont Colleges Emergency Medical service which is working to establish a student run emergency medical service for all of the Claremont Colleges.
Michael’s been part of our team since June 2021, and you may see him buzzing around our clinic as he now scribes for Dr. Hill in both exam room and our surgical suite, and assists in minor procedures. Michael takes pride in contributing to positive healthcare outcomes in the patients he serves.
