PreMed Medical Assistant (PMA) Program

Laying Foundations for Future Physicians

After more than twenty years of training Stanford University medical students and surgical residents, Dr. Hill remains dedicated to teaching the next generation of physicians.

At Hill Vascular and Vein Center, we understand the rigors, dedication, sacrifice, and focus needed to become a successful physician. Medical school acceptance has never been more competitive than today. For most medical school applicants, a high undergraduate GPA and above average MCAT score are not enough to ensure acceptance into medical school. An additional edge is needed. To that end, Dr. Hill has implemented a Premed Medical Assistant (PMA) Program as part of his vascular surgical practice.

Resident Testimonials

Here’s what some of  Dr. Hill’s former residents have to say…

Dr. Hill is one of reasons I chose to become a vascular surgeon and he is the type of surgeon I always aspired to be. He exemplifies the rare attributes of superb technical skill, exhaustive medical knowledge, patience, and poise. His love for his profession is infectious. He loves to teach students and residents in an encouraging style while at the same time making you realize that you can and need to hold yourself to a higher standard.

Dr. Hill has mentored medical students and surgery residents for nearly three decades now. All of us who have benefited from his mentorship agree that he’s the kind of physician we aspire to become: kind and compassionate while demanding clinical excellence. He is a world-class clinical teacher with a knack for bringing out the joy in medicine.

Paying It Forward

At Hill Vascular and Vein Center, PMAs are trained, encouraged, and mentored in the details of running a private surgical practice. Our PMA program is personally tailored to each student’s academic and MCAT testing schedule. Our philosophy is to provide a positive, supportive environment for learning, and a productive and meaningful experience working in the healthcare sector in an effort to better prepare our PMAs for the medical journey ahead.
