Education and Positions Held
Dr. Tej M. Singh studied Biology at The University of Chicago and The Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago in the highly competitive Early Acceptance program. Dr. Singh developed a strong interest in arterial adaptation to blood flow as a college student with his mentorship from Drs. Seymour Glagov and Christopher Zarins (Vascular Surgeon) in their joint research laboratory in Hyde Park, IL. Dr. Singh was awarded the national Allastair Karmody Medical Student Vascular Research Award from the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery in 1990 as a first year medical student.
Dr. Singh completed his General Surgery and Vascular/Endovascular Surgery training at Stanford University Medical Center in 2002. He continued his vascular surgery research at Stanford with vascular biology research projects based in Akita, Japan where he continued his interest in arterial and venous adaptation science.
Creating Vascular Surgery Programs
Dr. Singh has always demonstrated vascular surgery program and leadership skills and was recruited from fellowship to build and create the first vascular surgery program at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA. After successful program development, he was recruited to build and lead the vascular programs for El Camino Hospital, Camino Medical Group which eventually merged with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Group (PAMF)/Sutter Health. During this time, Dr. Singh was nationally recognized for his program’s efficiency, national quality benchmarks, clinical program development and vascular program comprehensive care. His practice growth was recognized with many national program presentations at major vascular surgical meetings. While continuing his excellent vascular program care and development, Dr. Singh advanced his Business skills with an MBA from the Physician Executive MBA program from Auburn University in 2013 and followed this with a LEAD recognition certificate from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2019.
Vascular Care
Dr. Singh’s journey from Chicago to Silicon Valley has been full of vascular passion, patient dedication, energy for collaborative vascular care. He has built and created 4 vascular surgery programs that have been team based and providing highly effective, efficient, timely vascular care. His focus on program growth and patient care delivery have been galvanized by his surgical and business education. Using these novel skills at Hill Vascular and Vein Center, Dr. Singh can offer his patients, referring doctors and clinic/hospital staff the best of highly efficient, high-quality care.
Philosophy & Family
Dr. Singh is happily married and has 3 adult sons who are based all over America developing their own novel careers. In his spare time, he is very involved with medical device development, attending ice hockey events, and collecting Fleetwood Mac Memorabilia.
Dr. Singh is excited about the opportunity to continue his robust vascular surgery practice at Hill Vascular & Vein Center in Campbell, CA.
