Sarah Chu, Hill Vascular Pre-Med Medical Assistant, Co-Authors First Publication in The Journal of Physiology Outlining Her Work Studying the Role of Glutamate on Muscle Spindle Afferent Stretch Sensitivity
During her four years of undergraduate studies at San Jose State University, Sarah Chu worked with a dedicated team of students who under the guidance of their PI and lead researcher, Dr. Wilkinson. Together, they studied neurons in the muscles that detect changes in length and movement and contribute to proprioception, or the sense of body position and movement. Her research may provide new insights on the mechanisms behind movement and balance problems.
You can read Sarah’s published journal article at The Journal of Physiology.
We, at Hill Vascular and Vein Center, congratulate Sarah on this exciting achievement!
